At 1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds we are currently continuing to provide emergency locksmith services during the Covid 19 out brake until further notice.

Under the lock down rules set out by the UK government we are currently aloud to travel for "any essential work that cannot be done from home". We fully intend to abide by these rules and will only be taking on ESSENTIAL work during this time. If the rules set out change in the future we will be reviewing this policy and acting upon it accordingly. Information regarding the rules of working can be found at the link below.

 https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/guidance-to-employers-and-businesses-about-covid-19/guidance-for-employers-and-businesses-on-coronavirus-covid-19

What do we class as essential work?

  1. Locked out
  2. Locked In
  3. Door wont lock
  4. Door wont open (when no other door is available)
  5. Burglary repairs
  6. Keys Lost or stolen
Your safety and our safety

At 1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds we always make safety a top priority but now we must ensure we go even further. We would like to ask all customers to not call if they are currently self isolating or showing any symptoms of coronavirus, we would appreciate if you would call once your 14 day quarantine period has finished.

Its very important that 1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds and customers stick to the 2 metre social distancing rules. Once you have shown us to the problem door we ask that you move to another room whilst we complete the job to ensure we are distancing as much as possible.

We will be wearing nitrile gloves and a face mask at all times. We will have these on already prior to entering your property, please don't be alarmed this is for our safety and the safety of our customers.

Anti bacterial wipes will be used on all surfaces that we are likely to be touching prior to any work commencing, please don' be offended by this, we need to ensure surfaces are germ free before touching them. Once the job is completed the same surfaces will be wiped down again with anti bacterial wipes.

Our hands will be sanitised using cleaner prior to putting on gloves and also once the gloves are removed on completion of the work.

1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds will reserve the right to reject any work that dosn't fit within our emergency criteria. This will also apply to any customers who are not willing to stick to the two metre rule whilst we are working at your home or business.

This is a difficult time for all of us but if we stick to the methods outlined above we can ensure our own safety and the safety of our customers at all times.

Thanks
Ben - 1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds
