I'm Ben, and I run 1st Defence Locksmiths Leeds, a family run locksmith company. I've been working as a locksmith for over 15 years and have completed more than 7,000 jobs, with around 40% of those jobs being urgent emergency call outs.

UPVC Door Lock Opened & Replaced 

A customer in Kirkstall was unable to open their rear upvc door due to a failed multi point lock. We attended within 40 minutes and opened the door with no damage. We then replaced the gearbox and rea aligned the door and locking points.

Broken Key Extraction 

We had an emergency call out to a repeat customer in Roundhay who couldn't open their French patio doors due to a snapped key in the lock. The customer was due to have a large delivery that needed to come in through that door. We attended and removed the piece of key. We preserved the lock so the customers spare keys would still work.

Emergency Lock Opening 

We picked open a high security APECS 3 star diamond standard lock in Wortley LS12. The customer had lost the key whilst out walking the dog. We gained entry using specialist non destructive lock opening tools.

Customer Unable to Lock Door 

A customer in Seacroft LS14 needed urgent help because they were unable to lock their composite door late at night. We attended the emergency call within 30 minutes and identified a broken piece inside the gearbox. A quick gearbox change using a part stocked in the van and 1 hour and 10 minutes from receiving the call the job was completed.

He was really friendly and professional despite it not being the easiest job to get me back in my house and doing it in the pouring rain too.
